Sligo, Dundalk & Perth

We are spread over 3 different racecourses today with runners on the flat as well as jumps.

Starting off the afternoon in Sligo, 3 have 3 declared in the maiden hurdle. MANOIR DE MIRANDE looked set to throw down a challenge last time out before being all but carried out by a loose horse at the third last. He’s been knocking on the door for a win and hopefully he can put in another good performances today under Jack Kennedy. I’M ALL IN was well held in Cork on his seasonal reappearance just 2 days ago. He’ll have to take a bit step forward to feature here under Sam Ewing. NOBLE ROCCO makes her debut over hurdles. 7th on her sole start in a bumper, she was well held that day and looks as though hurdling might bring out some improvement in her. Danny Gilligan rides.

In the 2m1f maiden hurdle RETURNING OFFICER looks like he should be capable of getting off the mark. He’s run some nice races in defeat so far in his career and this looks like an easier race than what he has been contesting. Jack Kennedy rides.

KENISA SPORT is back in action in the mares handicap hurdle after a long lay off. She showed plenty of promise last season when back to back wins saw her break her bumper and maiden hurdle tag before finishing 5th in a mares novice hurdle at Perth. We’re hoping for a nice run back form her and she will have Josh Halford in the saddle who claims a useful 7lb off her back.

In the 2m1f handicap hurdle we run DAIRY FORCE. Second last timeout in Downpatrick, he is another who has been knocking on the door of late with plenty of placed efforts to his name and should be involved at the business end under Kevin Sexton.

In the bumper we send out HILL OF BALLYLINE on her racecourse debut. A half sister to two winners, the filly by Kingston Hill will learn plenty from todays outing and is the mount of Joey Dunne who claims a useful 7lb.

SONNY CORLEONE is our sole runner in Dundalk as he takes on 12 rivals in the Apprentice Handicap. He showed plenty of promise on his debut for the yard when he was 4th at Down Royal in 1m2f maiden and should progress as he makes the transition in to handicap company here today. Keithen Kennedy is booked to ride.

Across the water in Perth we send out 1 runner, HOLY JOE in the novice hurdle. A clear winner of his maiden hurdle in Clonmel last time out, he steps back up in trip today and looks set to add another string to his bow in this 5 runner field. Rian Corcoran takes the ride claiming 5lb.
