Roscommon

We start off the week with runners in Roscommon.

Our first runner of the evening is GOING LIVE in the rated novice hurdle. A winner on his hurdling debut at Downpatrick last time out, he steps up in trip here today to 2m4f. Carl Millar claims a valuable 7lb and the pair are in with a good chance of getting on the scoreboard.

We saddle two runners in the Tote Connaught National. HURRICANE GEORGIE is already a national winner when taking the Midlands National back in 2022. A consistent mare for connections, she was a winner last time out in a mares chase at Limerick and should show a good account of herself here today with Carl Millar in the saddle claiming 7lb. BALLYKEEL was a winner of the Perth Gold Cup last summer but is yet to show quite the same spark this season. If he can bounce back to form then he is not without his chances with Jake Coen onboard claiming 5lb.

UP AND OUT represents us in Division 1 of the handicap hurdle. She’s been placed multiple times over hurdles but is yet to get on the scoreboard. She was disappointing the last day but we are hoping that she’ll show a better account of herself here with Carl Millar onboard.

In division 2 of the handicap hurdle we run BE MY HERO. He is another who is yet to taste success over hurdles. He steps back in trip here today after failing to make an impression over 2m2f. Jake Coen rides.

UHTRED came back from a long lay off to score at Killarney last time out. He’s off a 6lb higher mark here today in the 2m4f handicap hurdle but should put in another good run with the help of Jake Coen’s 5lb claim.

Our final runner of the day is BOWENSONFIRE who makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. A smart individual at home, we are hoping he shapes up well on his first start and Harry Swan takes the ride.
