PUNCHESTOWN DAY 4

For the famers race we have GINO DRUMMER BOY who we have tried to qualify just for this race. This is a very open race where anything could happen. GINO DRUMMER BOY has Harry Swan in the saddle.

In the Listed handicap chase we have MARS HARPER and DUFFLE COAT. Duffers has placed 2nd on 4 occasions now and has the cheekpieces on again hopefully he can rise to the occasion with Sam booked to ride. Danny Gilligan claims off Mars Harper who will have to return to his best to land a place here.

CALICO returns to the is fresh as she returns to the track for this Grade 2 chase. She is a talented filly who tries her heart out and should like the ground. Hopefully she is up to this after her break and Jack Kennedy rides.

The old kids take center stage for the next race, the champion hunters chase, where we have HARDLINE and SAMCRO. Hardline gave Josh a great spin over the National fences on his last run and Josh has a 7lb claim here to help him out. Samcro is an absolute superstar and ran very well in Cheltenham before getting tired. It would be great to see him run well again here with Tom Hamilton booked to ride.

IRISH POINT returns to have another go at Stateman in the Champion hurdle. Conditions should suit him down to the ground and he has proved he is no one trick pony and it should be a great dual. Jack rides.

Although outclassed by the mare the last day STAFFORDSHIRE KNOT ran a cracker in Aintree and shouldn’t be discounted here. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

It was great to see RAINBOW TRAIL get his nose in front the last day, this is a step up in class and hopefully he won’t be too far away with Jack booked to ride.

The bumper looks a wide open race where we have MASTERBOY DAVIS. He has placed on a couple of occasions now and just needs to get his head in front now. Harry Swan is booked to ride and claims 5.
