PUNCHESTOWN DAY 4

DIOL KER and ROYAL THIEF go in the handicap chase to start our day. Both of these will need a career best to get in front with Danny claiming 5 off Diol Ker and Carl Millar claiming 7lbs off Royal Thief.

For the Pat Taaffe handicap chase we have FAROUK D’ALENE, FURY ROAD, MINELLA CROONER and BALLYKEEL. Farouk got tired in Aintree on ground he didn’t like and will have Carl claiming off top weight. Fury Road comes here nice and fresh and is the pick of Jordan Gainford. Minella Crooner is another who ran well in the Grand National and will be ridden by Sam Ewing. Finally Ballykeel returns after a break and will have Danny claiming 5.

DEE CAPO leads the way ahead of BEACON EDGE, JIGORO and THE WALLPARK in the SBK Gold Trophy handicap hurdle. Nothing went right for Dee Capo the last day, he hated the ground and pulled a shoe. Carl Millar is booked to ride. Beacon Edge ran well in Aintree the last day and we will claim off him with Danny. Jigoro comes here off the back of Cheltenham and hopefully he’ll go better on this ground with Jordan Gainford booked to ride. THE WALLPARK looks a smart horse and he comes her fresh with Sam Ewing booked to ride.

JACOB’S LADDER is having his first run for us since joining the team. He looks a nice prospect where the future could be bright, Harry Swan rides.

For the charity race we have Omniscent with one of our jockey agent’s Gary Cribbin booked to ride. He has plenty of experience in the saddle and we wish him the very best of luck. New Years Honours may need the run here but she was handy on the flat and is a spare ride for Jamie Kavanagh.
