It was brilliant to get another Grade 1 winner yesterday and hopefully we can get another winner on the board here.
Starting the day in the opportunity final handicap hurdle we have MISS MANZOR and STRAIGHT JOHN. Straight John has some nice bits of form and we claim off him with Josh Williamson taking away 2lbs. Hopefully he has what it takes. Miss Manzor has her first start for us and after a long layoff. This will just be a starting point which she can hopefully build on with Paddy Cleary booked to ride and claiming 4lbs.
There is a big pot on offer for the Red Mills final where we have DUNLEER CRYSTAL. Stevie as he is known to his owner has had a really good season so far and is very honest. This horse could get the biggest cheer if he manages to get into the winners enclosure even for just a minor placing. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.
RISKAWAY drops down in both trip and class as he tackles the Louis Fitzgerald hotel hurdle. He could be a better horse on this better ground and on ratings he could be right up there with Jack Kennedy booked to ride.
For the first Grade 1 on the card we have three runners going to post, GENEROUS RISK, KAZANSKY and SPINNINGAYARN. Spinningayarn is the most likely of our runners to get involved here but the ground is a question. KAZANSKY is a Grade 2 winner but this is a big step up in class, again the ground could be an issue and Danny Gilligan was booked to ride. Generous Risk is another who takes a huge step forward but has been useful on different ground and Sam Ewing has been booked to ride.
In the Grade 1 bumper we have two going to post. LOW KICK can be a mercurial talent but was last seen winning a bumper in good fashion. He comes here fresh having missed Cheltenham and Aintree for this. He’ll be ridden by Harry Swan. WITH NOLIMIT always runs a big race and ran very credible in the Cheltenham bumper. He is a dark horse in this and could spring a surprise.
For the Grade 3 Colm Quinn handicap chase we have DOWN MEMORY LANE who has first time cheekpieces and is the mount of Mark Walsh. DEE CAPO has been running very well this season and could fly under the radar with Jack Kennedy booked to ride. Finally we have RIAAN who comes here fresh. He is a horse who likes good ground and running fresh and will be ridden by Danny Gilligan.
TINTARA is another who cloud fly under the radar. She was unlucky not to win the last day and takes her chance here with Harry Swan booked to ride.
