It is the start of the end as the Irish season begins to wrap up. It is unlikely that we will take the crown but we’re getting closer and will be willing Jack on to regain his. WILLITGOAHEAD is the first runner of the day in the Kildare Hunt Ladies cup. Willitgoahead has first time cheekpieces on and has been given the chance to freshen up before heading here. Jamie Scallan has been booked to ride and claims 7lbs.

SAN HILARIO goes in the Albert Bartlett handicap hurdle final. He has a string of seconds to his name but hopefully he’ll find his way in this large runner field under Jack Kennedy.

For the Listed Killashee hotel handicap hurdle we have three runners. TOUCH ME NOT, ARCH EMPIRE and MODE AVION. This is a tricky race to pick apart. Touch me not didn’t fire in Cheltenham but has been given time to recover and will be ridden by Jack Kennedy. Arch Empire comes here fresh and has a very nice mark in this under Jordan Gainford. Finally Mode Avion is race fir for this and will be ridden by Josh Williamson who claims 5lbs.

Lining up in the first Grade 1 of the meeting we have three going forward. EL CAIROS, SKYLIGHT HUSTLE and KOKTAIL BRUT. El Cairos didn’t fire at Cheltenham but was still the first Irish horse home in that race. He comes here fresh and can hopefully run well. Skylight Hustle didn’t settle in Cheltenham so has a first time hood to help with Sam Ewing booked to ride. Koktail Brut was very good the last day and can hopefully go well again here under Danny.

WESTERN FOLD has had a very busy season so far so this will be a nice way to round up the season. It looks very competitive and we will have Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

We have 5 runners in the Goffs Defender bumper, a race that throws up all sorts of results. HUNTIN BOOTS will have the benefit of experience having placed in a bumper already and will be the ride of Harry Swan. STRATEGIC makes his debut here. He is a half brother to the very good Ziga Boy for Alan King. GILI ISLAND is another one with a run under his belt and we claim off him with Josh Williamson taking away 7lbs. ADIFFERENTBALLOFWAX may find this a hot race for his debut but we claim off him with Adam Lord taking away 7lbs. Finally rounding off the team is DOOKS, another who has had a run under his belt and we claim with Joey Dunne.

Rounding off the day we have just the one in the bumper, HARTFORD. He has already placed in a bumper to date. It looks a hot race with plenty of depth hopefully it’ll all piece together.
