We return to the track after a good weekend of racing and we can start to see the stretch in the day.
We kick things off with I AM FORTUNATA in the maiden hurdle over 2 miles. This horse was an impressive winner of his bumper last season and ran well in a maiden hurdle that has since turned out well. He has been off since then but returns here in fine order. He is a lovely big horse who should progress well from here. Sam Ewing has been booked to ride.
Next up is another maiden hurdle where we have BOBS CIGAR. Bob ran very well in a point to point to finish 2nd and has since changed hands and come to us. He is one of the less exposed runners in this and has his first start under rules. Jordan Gainford has been booked to ride.
The Grade 3 mares hurdle looks a really exciting race where two top mares are set to clash ahead of Cheltenham. QUEENS BROOK needed the run the last day and she has been working nicely at home so should be in a nice position here. Brandy Love has had her problems and this will be her first start this season. We are happy with our mare and exciting to see how she gets on, Jordan Gainford has been booked to ride.
JUMPING JET takes canter stage in the mares maiden hurdle over 2m6f. This mare ran a very creditable race when returning after a year lay off. There are a lot of very exposed types in the race so it could cut up. Sam Ewing has been booked to ride.
In the first handicap on the card we have two runners, SPOILED ROTTEN and APPIAN WAY. Spoiled Rotten hasn’t quite backed up his win two starts ago but looks off a workable mark here with Jordan Gainford in the saddle. Appian Way is having his first run for us and chases a hattrick of wins. He is in good form and is off a very low weight and will have Sam Ewing in the saddle.
Finally its a bit of a wait till the end but we have SPECULATRIX in the bumper. She takes on the boys here and gets a bit of weight in hand for that and will be ridden by Harry Swan who is now on his 5lbs claim. She is beautifully bred and out of a bumper winner so it all looks very positive on her debut.
