A grey cloud hangs over Cullentra after a few hard days for those in racing. Yesterday we said goodbye to the immensely talented Michael O’Sullivan and today Delta Work left us after a bout of colic.

We’re off the Punchestown where our first runners come in the National Trial. WILL DO looks well treated in this and looks to like a stamina test. He has been going well lately and will be ridden by Sam. FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU ran really well the last day and we are claiming off him with Josh Williamson. CLEATUS POOLAW has a decent chance and he is relatively unexposed over fences and will have Danny in the saddle. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN won this last year and can hopefully go well again today. Rounding them off is FORTUNEDEFORTUNATA who goes well in a big field handicap and will have Jake Coen claiming 3.

DISCO DANCER hunts for black type in a very open Listed hurdle. Hopefully she can go well with Danny Gilligan in the saddle.

For the maiden hurdle we have CARDCOUNTER, PRESENTING GEORGIE and AMBER POINT. A better showing is expected from Amber and we claim off him with Jake Coen. A line can be put through Cardcounters last run and can hopefully put in a clear round of jumping under Sam. Presenting georgie has her first start on the track and this will be informative.

Finally in the bumper we have COSMOS D’AINAY. He has gained some useful experience in the pointing field and will improve with age. He is by the same sire as the great Envoi Allen and hopefully he is exciting.
