Today we head to Navan with a big team of runners whilst the team at home guard the fort for our open morning.
In the first race we have PATS CHOICE and INNELLAN SHORE for the maiden hurdle. Pats Choice has been ever so consistent placing second in his last 5 starts. It would be great to get him over the line in first and with Davy Russell in the saddle. Innellan Shore has showed his talent and he will be eligible for handicaps after this with Kevin Murphy in the saddle claiming 7lbs.
For the next division of the maiden hurdle we have NONBINDING and GINNETS GIRL. Nonbinding was caught up in a huge pile up and had no race. He comes here ready and with Davy Russell in the saddle. Ginnets Girl already has a win under her belt in bumpers. This is her hurdle debut and she will have Denis O’Regan in the saddle.
Next up we have the ladies handicap hurdle where DAISY DUFRESNE is the bottom weight with the very able Sarah Kavanagh claiming a valuable 7lbs. She has become a model student for the yard and we hope she can run well again here.
Then we have another runner in the maiden hurdle where Dunleer Phoenix is out as he ran yesterday so we have RIAAN as our sole representative in the race. Riaan made a good show on debut when he came 4th. We should hopefully see some improvement here and Davy Russell has been booked to ride.
We have another two runners for the hurdle race over 2m5f. MARS HARPER and THE FRIDAY MAN take on four other competitors. Mars Harper is a solid type in these races and we have Michael O’Sullivan who claims 7lbs. The Friday Man is another reformed character having three wins in the last four runs. We have another strong rider in the shape of Kieren Buckley who claims 5lbs.
For the handicap hurdle we have a team change as Excelcior is a non runner but TOWNHALL PENNY gets the go ahead now. She comes in at a lowly weight and will have Niall Moore on board claiming a further 7lbs.
Finally in the bumper we have the one runner NOTTODAYBOBO who is another model of consistency having placed on all his starts to date. Hopefully this can be another string in his bow with Jamie Codd in the saddle.
