Originally Day 1 of the Navan Racing Festival, we’re delighted that the meeting was able to be rescheduled for today.

In the opener, the maiden hurdle, we saddle 5 runners. AGAMEOFTWOHALVES is a new recruit to the yard who is making his racecourse debut. The son of Walk In The Park is a big striking horse who has a lovely way of going at home and is the mount of Mark Walsh. BUTTON ROCK is having his third start over flights. He’s been well held on both starts over hurdles to date but will hopefully finish a bit closer here today under Kevin Sexton. CLASSICAL CREEK makes his hurdling debut. A previous point to point winner and bumper winner last season, he’s a smart individual who should appreciate the step up to 2m4f and is the pick of Jack Kennedy. COYOTE SPIRIT finished 6th behind stablemate Timeless Treaty on his hurdling debut back in May. He is another who should come into himself for the step up in trip and will be ridden by Sam Ewing. GUNNERY SERGEANT has his second start over hurdles. He should come on from his hurdling debut but ground conditions might be a concern. Danny Gilligan rides.

In the Lisadell Equine Hospital 110 Series Final Handicap Hurdle we send out THEMANINTHEBOOTS. Just held off last time out in a 3 mile contest in Ayr, he drops back in trip here today. He wears first time blinkers to help sharpen him up and we’re hoping that he can show a good account of himself with James Smith onboard claiming a valuable 5lb.

We saddle two runners in the Hotel Park St. Johann In Tirol Austria Handicap Hurdle. SCALPNAGOON makes his seasonal reappearance. He showed plenty of promise last season with two victories under his belt over varying distances and should run a good race under Jack Kennedy on his handicap debut. SAN HILARIO steps into handicap company for the first time. He’s yet to get a win on the board but didn’t disgrace himself in maidens last season and carries a nice low weight here with the help of Carl Millar’s 5lb claim.

In the Grade 3 Bar One Racing For Auction Novice Hurdle we send two down to post. MA JACKS HILL is looking to reverse the form with the favourite, I’ll Sort That, after he was beaten in a 2m4f contest at Galway last time out. The step back in trip shouldn’t be an issue for him and he is the mount of Jack Kennedy. THEFLYINGKING looked set to be an impressive winner of his maiden hurdle at Down Royal last time out before falling at the last hurdle. He’s shown he has plenty of ability and will be the mount of Sam Ewing.

THE YELLOW CLAY returns to action in the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle. He’s in excellent form at home and this looks a great starting point for his season ahead. Jack Kennedy rides. We also run the ever consistent MAXXUM. He’s been a great horse for connections with two Grade 2 wins under his belt last season. Ground conditions wont be a concern for him and he will be ridden by Danny Gilligan.

We send out two runners in the Grade 2 Fortria Chase. FOUND A FIFTY finished 6.5 lengths behind Envoi Allen in a Grade 1 at Down Royal two weeks ago. He will have come on for the run and should show a good account of himself under Jack Kennedy today. TOUCH ME NOT makes his seasonal reappearance. Although he is the outsider of the field, he is a classy individual and is likely to outrun his odds. Danny Gilligan rides.

We have two running the Irish EBF Beginners Chase. BALLYBOW was a Grade 3 winner over hurdles last season before finishing 12th in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham. He was second in two point to points so has experience over the larger obstacles and should run well under Jack Kennedy. JIGORO has finished runner up in two beginners chases to date but this is certainly a step up in class compared to those occasions. Danny Gilligan rides.

Our last two runners of the day are in the Bar One Racing INH Flat Race. LEMMY CAUTION was an impressive winner of his point to point in Monksgrange for Colin Bowe and has been showing us all the right signs at home. He looks to be a very exciting prospect for the season ahead and Harry Swan takes the ride. ZISO makes her racecourse debut. Bred by her owners Bective Stud, she has a nice way of going at home and gets the benefit of a fillies allowance and Josh Halfords 7lb claim.
