We kick of the weekend with 9 runners in Navan.

In the opener, the maiden hurdle we run RAINBOW TRAIL and MUHTALUZA. Rainbow Trail was a winner of his bumper on testing ground in Clonmel and finished second in a maiden hurdle last time out in a 25 runner field. Based on that performance he looks a leading contender in todays field with Jack Kennedy booked to ride. Muhtaluza is having his 3rd run over hurdles He has progressed from one run to the next and we’re hoping he can show a good account of himself under Jordan Gainford.

In the mares handicap hurdle we run INSTANT TENDANCE and PURCE PRICE. Instant Tendance was a winner last time out in heavy ground at Navan and makes her handicap debut today. she should go close under Jack Kennedy. Purse Price has been a very consistent mare for connections and looked to put in a career best effort when second last time out in Leopardstown. She should also go close today under Sam Ewing.

LIGHTKEEPER makes a quick turn around after running in Down Royal last weekend. He should be suited by the step up in trip today in the maiden hurdle and Jack Kennedy is in the saddle.

After the third race we are parading our 3 Cheltenham Festival winners, Teahupoo, Stellar Story and Better Days Ahead.

We send two down to post in the novice hurdle. BINGE WORTHY was well held the last day. Hopefully he can put a line through that run and show a better account of himself as he steps further up in trip. Danny Gilligan rides claiming a valuable 5lbs. TWOOHTHREE was an impressive winner on his hurdling debut in Leopardstown last time out. He looks an exciting prospect for his connections and looks for back to back wins. Jack Kennedy rides.

FOLCANO is back from a lengthy absence to run in the novice handicap chase. He has cheekpieces back on today and should come on for the run. Danny Gilligan rides, claiming 5lb.

Our final runner of the day is MASTERBOY DAVIS in the bumper. the son of Doctor Dino was narrowly denied success on his racecourse debut at Punchestown back in February and we’d be hoping he could get his head in front today under Harry Swan.
