In the opener, the 4yo Maiden Hurdle, we send four down to post. NEEDS MUST makes his racecourse debut in the colours of Mrs Anne Marie McManus. He’s a half brother to Spoiled Rotten who was a winner over flights on his second start. Jody McGarvey takes the ride. RAYDAMANN has his second start over hurdles since joining us off the flat from Johnny Murtagh. He failed to make an impression on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown at Christmas but he should show a much better account of himself today. Sam Ewing rides. SPRINGHILL WARRIOR is another who makes his racecourse debut today. The unraced Capri gelding is a half brother to 5 winners and we will learn plenty about him today. Kevin Sexton rides. RHYTHM OF LIFE is also making her career debut. She’s a half sister to a listed bumper winner and will be the mount of Danny Gilligan.

In the mares maiden hurdle we run SWING DAVIS and SPECULATRIX. Swing Davis was putting in a fine run last time out before falling at the second last when in contention. She holds strong claims in todays contest and Sam Ewing will take the ride. Speculatrix just hasn’t showed the same spark since falling at the last in Killarney when clear out in front. We’re hoping that she can bounce back to form today with Danny Gilligan in the saddle.

JERSEY DES BROSSES makes his handicap debut in the 2m4f handicap hurdle. He runs off a modest mark and wears first time cheekpieces. Sam Ewing rides.

SERMANDZARAK bids to get off the mark over hurdles in the 2m6f maiden hurdle. He’s been knocking on the door in maiden company and we think the step up in trip and first time headgear will play to his strengths. Sam Ewing rides.

WHAT’S UP DARLING is now a non runner in the Flyingbolt Novice Chase.

In the Grade 2 Webster Cup Chase we run FIL DOR. He’s a smart chaser in his own right and has been the model of consistency for connections this season but El Fabiolo looks the one to beat. Danny Gilligan rides.

Our final runner of the day is SHANNON ROYALE in the rescheduled listed novice handicap chase. He’s shown some great form in beginners chases this season and warrants respect here today. Carl Millar rides.
