We send 9 runners out at Naas today.

In the opener, the 2m Maiden Hurdle, we are represented by SON OF ANARCHY and HELLO JACK. Son Of Anarchy failed to make an impression last time out over 2m7f so we’re hoping the drop back in distance will be in his favour today. Mark Walsh takes the ride. Hello Jack has been placed on both of his starts to date and looks set to be in with a good chance of finishing in the frame again today. Danny Gilligan rides.

In the Grade 3 Juvenile Hurdle we send out GOOD TO BE ALIVE. An impressive maiden hurdle winner on his racecourse debut. He is the least experienced horse in the field with only 1 run under his belt but will have learnt plenty from the last day and hopefully shows another fine account of himself today with Sam Ewing in the saddle.

JACOB’S LADDER runs in the Grade 3 Novice Hurdle. A winner of his maiden hurdle last time out, he has proven that the trip of 2m4f will suit him and hopefully will have come on for that experience. Sam Ewing rides.

We saddle three runners in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle Qualifier. LUCKY LYREEN put in a solid effort to finish 6th in a valuable handicap hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival last time out and could run another big race here today under Finn Brickley who claims 7lb. PATTER MERCHANT finished just ahead of stablemate Lucky Lyreen at the Dublin Racing Festival and went up 1lb for his efforts that day. He has run consistently in handicap company and could be another contender here under James Smith who claims 5lb. Our third runner is HARSH who disappointed last timeout when tailed off in a Pertemps Qualifier at Exeter. We are hoping that he will show a better account of himself today. Patrick O’Brien rides and claims 7lb.

In the INH Flat Race we run SPINNINGAYARN. A winner of his P2P on heavy ground and bumper winner last time out in Navan on soft ground, he should have no problem with the conditions here at Naas today after a few days of heavy rain. He’s a smart individual who should take all the beating. Josh Williamson rides.

Our final runner of the day is SHANNON ROYALE in the Listed Novice Handicap Chase. He’s been in excellent form in beginners chases this season and was just out of his depth slightly when pulling up in the Thyestes Chase last time out which was his first start in handicap company. He holds strong claims here and has the benefit of James Smith’s 5lb claim.
