We had a great weekend and managed to bring home a few winners just in time to get us hyped for Cheltenham. We’re hoping to repeat yesterday with a Mike Grech runner in the opener. I AM FORTUNATA ran out the last day at Punchestown so we have decided to run him in the opposite direction to see if that will help. He was travelling beautifully until that point and will be ridden by Davy Russell.

For the auction novice hurdle we have PURSE PRICE who is the model of consistency and hasn’t run a bad race in her last 6 runs. We are going to claim off her with Ben Harvey who takes off 5lbs and hopefully that’ll be all she needs to get that all important win.

In the Adare Manor opportunity handicap hurdle we have KNOCKNAGAPPAGH who is a tough hardy mare and she will have Corey McGivern in the irons who will have a 4lbs allowance here. BALLINLOUGH GALE is having his second start for the team and we are hoping he can improve on his run the last day and he will have Danny Gilligan in the saddle who claims 4lbs.

ELUSIVE SEA goes in the Rockbrook Handicap Hurdle. She had a fine bit of form but has lost her way a bit and hopefully Jordan Gainford will be able to find some improvement in her.

We have two runners in the beginners chase HAMMUNDARSON and HIAOU. Hammundarson finally got his win last season and got a good long summer break. This is his first go over the bigger obstacles and he is fresh and ready to go, Jordan Gainford has been booked to ride. Hiaou is also having his first run over fences here and has had a few nice runs last year and just been given a freshener before this assignment. Sam Ewing has been booked to ride.

Finally in the bumper we have HARVEST HOME. This filly has taken a little bit of time to come to hand but she has an excellent pedigree. She can be a bit keen to ride and owner-rider David Dunson is flying over to ride her.
