It’s Munster National Day and we head to Limerick with 5 runners and Leopardstown with 1.
Our first runner of the day in Limerick is GUNNERY SERGEANT in the maiden hurdle. A new recruit to the yard, he joined us from the point to point ranks and makes his debut under rules today. He’s a fine big horse and we will learn plenty about him. Jack Kennedy rides.
In the LubriSyn Handicap Hurdle we run GARNETOT. This will be his first run in handicap company after running well the last day in maiden company. Hopefully he will improve again and show another good account of himself under Jack Kennedy.
In the feature race, the Boyle Sport Munster National we send 3 runners down to post. BOSTON ROVER has been progressive since making the switch to fences. He is 3 from 4 in this sphere and has proven himself effective over distances between 2m4f – 3m. He is the pick of Jack Kennedy. YEATS STAR was just held off on his handicap debut in Perth last time out and is capable of putting in a big run under Sam Ewing. WILL DO makes his seasonal reappearance today. He has been placed in 5 out of his 8 starts over fences and although he will come on for the run, he can not be discounted. Danny Gilligan rides.
We have one runner on the flat in Leopardstown. RAYDAMANN represents us in the 1m2f handicap. He will be running off a career low mark on the flat and has previous form over the trip yet he has a wide draw to overcome with Declan McDonogh onboard.
