It has been fairy-tail stuff so far this week and to add more winners yesterday was incredible. It is another day of high octane racing where we will start in Leopardstown.
We have 4 runners in the opening maiden hurdle and the results this week have shown that anything could happen! LAZARE DE STAR comes here with a good reputation and having a run under his belt will only benefit him with Jack Kennedy booked to ride. Can KING OF WESTEROS provide Ray Stokes with another win in the opener. He is not exposed and coud have a lot of improvement in hi, with Sam Ewing booked to ride. LLEM’S is another who has a run under his belt and will be ridden by Kevin Sexton. TIP OF THE WINGS is a big price here but can’t be overlooked with Danny booked to ride.
Our next runner comes in the beginners chase where we have PATTER MERCHANT and THE WALLPARK. Patter Merchant ran very well the last day and wasn’t beaten far at all, he is the pick of Jack Kennedy. The Wallpark gets a jockey change from the usual and hopefully that can spice things up.
The Christmas hurdle looks a great race where TEAHUPOO takes on Ballyburn again. We got the better of him the last day but the ground is much faster here today and Jack is booked to ride Teahupoo. The Yellow Clay could fly under the radar here and has shown he is a class act, Sam Ewing is booked to ride.
The Savills chase looks a belter where Gold cup champions and hopefuls go head to head. It’s been a long time since we saw him last but GERRI COLOMBE makes his return to the track and is in good form, Jack rides. CROKE PARK was a solid Grade 1 horse last season and enjoys this track, Keith has been booked to ride. Finally we have Stellar Story who has plenty of staying power but the ground may be on the fast side for him here, Danny rides.
For the Pertemps Qualifier we will be trying our best to qualify as these races are so competitive. TIMELESS TREATY is another who has a run under his belt and can hopefully fill one of the top 4 spots with Jack Kennedy booked to ride. SON OF ANARCHY seems to have found his mojo this time around and hopefully Mark Walsh can get another good tune out of him.
LEMMY CAUTION was billed as favourite the last day but may have needed the run. We claim off him with Josh Williamson taking away 5lbs.
Over in Limerick our first runner is the beautiful UNFLINCHING. This striking grey is so far unbeaten and has his first start over hurdles. Hopefully this is a nice option for him with Jordan booked to ride.
PANJANDRUM is good progressive type who hasn’t done much wrong and will need every inch of this trip. This is another ride for Jordan.
DEE CAPO goes in the Listed handicap chase. He is another horse that has got into the grove of things but goes off top weight, Carl Millar claims 5lbs.
Carl returns quickly for GRIMAUD in the handicap hurdle. Its a good field of runners where he can get a bit of cover and hopefully go well.
Rounding off the day we have two in the bumper. DETROIT MAVERICK has a bit of experience in the point to point field and can hopefully use that here under Harry Swan. He looks a nice sort who has a bright future. HAVEANOTHERTRY is having his first try on the track. This will tell us more and Josh Halford has been booked to ride and claims 7lbs.
