Today we have another fine selection of runners at Killarney whilst also sending forward two runners for the Pat Smullen Charity race at The Curragh.
Kicking things off at Killarney we THE WALLPARK in the maiden hurdle. This horse is a real one for the future and one connections can get excited about. He has experience over hurdles already and in good company. This might not be the most straightforward race but it will be a good test. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.
The ground wasn’t there for TULLYBEG the last day so a line can be drawn through that run and we would still prefer if the ground dried out a little bit more. We have decided to claim off him with Carl Millar who is in flying form at the moment and he takes off 7lbs. AU FLEURON makes the switch back from chasing to hurdling and has blinkers fitted with Jack Kennedy booked to ride.
SALVADOR ZIGGY was mighty impressive the last day and looks for a hattrick over fences. This looks a step up for him yet again but he seems to take everything in his stride and Jack Kennedy is booked to ride.
Finally in Killarney we have BALLYKEEL who has his first start back on home soil in a while and looks in good form. This is a Listed Chase and has a good pot. Gavin Brouder is booked to ride and claims 5lbs.
Over in the Curragh we remember Pat Smullen with the Cancer Trials Ireland Charity race. We send forward a charity race pro in the form of AMIR KABIR who has already won one of these races at Punchestown. He has a lot of talent and should be a nice ride and it would be an amazing achievement if Hannah Smullen can get his nose in front in the race named after her father. IN FROM THE COLD will love the trip and should be a good ride for Katherine Qualye.
