Killarney and Percy Warner Park

We have runner in Killarney and Percy Warner Park in Nashville today!

Kicking off the action on home soil in Killarney, our first runners of the day are Disco Dancer and Dunsy Rock in the Mares Listed Hurdle. DISCO DANCER was well held last time out in a 2m1f contest in Bellewstown. She’ll need to take a step forward from what she has been showing so far to feature here today. Danny Gilligan rides. DUNSY ROCK was a 6 length winner of her maiden back in February and comes into the race fresh and well. We are hoping that she will take well to the quicker ground conditions and she will be the mount of Sam Ewing.

PLAYTIME has his second start in handicap company in the Kelly Bros Handicap Hurdle. He looks to be off a nice mark here and has the benefit of Josh Williamson’s 5lb claims.

EMILY LOVE represents us in the mares beginners chase. She’s fresh from a break after winning in Far Hills, USA last October. A previous course winner over hurdles, she has the benefit of plenty of point to point experience under her belt and looks to be one of the leading market contenders. Sam Ewing rides.

In the feature race, the Tote Killarney National Handicap Steeplechase, we send KAMIKAZ DU PLESSIS down to post. Fourth in a rated novice chase in Clonmel last time out, he tries his hand in handicap company for the first time today and will also be stepping up in trip for the first time. We are hoping that this longer trip will see him take a step forward from what he has shown us so far. Danny Gilligan rides.

Our final runner of the day in Killarney is LUCKY SIGNAL in the bumper. A new recruit to the yard, he was well held on his sole start back in March for his previous trainer. We’re hoping to see some improvement on this better surface but will learn plenty about him today. Harry Swan rides.

Stateside in Nashville we have sent over 3 runner for the Iroquois Steeplechase meeting at Percy Warner Park.

Our first runner there is FAMOUS FIGURE in the maiden hurdle. He has been running consistently in maiden company back home in Ireland and deserves to get off the mark here. He wears a first time hood just to help him settle and will be the mount of Jack Kennedy.

American Grand National winner ZANAHIYR will contest the Grade 1 hurdle. He had a nice long break after his win in Far Hills in October before coming back to finish 2nd in a flat handicap at Gowran Park at the beginning of April. He will be wearing first time blinkers today and looks set to run another big race under Jack Kennedy.

Our final runner in America is BLUE WATERS in the filly and mares hurdle. She finished second to Baby Kate in a mares hurdle last time out and comes into todays contest fresh and well in herself. She will wear first time cheekpieces today and we’re hoping for a big run for her new connections, Del Rio Racing. Jack Kennedy rides.
