In the first race CUMBERLAND RIVER makes his debut over hurdles in the 3yo maiden hurdle. He finished mid-field in a 1mile maiden at the Curragh back in October last year and looks a sort who would take to hurdling well. Jack Kennedy rides.

We saddle two runners in the GMIB Handicap Hurdle. BOWENSONFIRE has been a progressive sort since winning his maiden hurdle but just ran too freely in the early stages last time out. He is fitted with a hood today and is the mount of Jack Kennedy. RELIEVED OF DUTIES has been running in competitive company since winning his maiden hurdle. 3rd in a Grade 2 and 4th in a Grade 3 contest so far in his career, he is another one for the shortlist with Finn Brickley in the saddle claiming 7lbs.

Emily Love and Kamikaz Du Plessis take their chances in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Hurdle. EMILY LOVE has been a super mare for connections with 4 wins under her belt this season. She was 3rd last time out in a 2m novice hurdle at Galway where she stayed on strongly. All her wins have been over a distance between 2m2f – 2m4f and she looks as though she should take well to the step up in distance. Sam Ewing rides. KAMIKAZ DU PLESSIS is less experienced than stablemate Emily Love, but has already proven himself a winner over 2m4f & 2m5f. He was 3rd in a 2m4f novice hurdle at the Galway festival and looks a progressive sort who should be well suited to the step up in trip here. He will be the mount of Jack Kennedy.

Our final runners of the day at in the beginners chase. WHAT’S UP DARLING has plenty of chasing experience under his belt compared to the rest of the field and was 4th last time out in a competitive beginners chase in Galway. Jack Kennedy rides. TIMMY TUESDAY makes his chasing debut today. His form has tailed off slightly over hurdles this season but he has proven himself as a stayer and could run a big race under Jordan Gainford.
