Kilbeggan

We head to Kilbeggan this evening.

Our first runner of the day is GOLDEN NUGGET in the maiden hurdle. She steps back into maiden company after running in handicaps and should make good use of her experience. Sam Ewing rides.

In division 1 of the 2m3f maiden hurdle, TWO BECOME ONE makes her yard and racecourse debut. Danny Gilligan takes 3lbs off her back and hopefully she can make a good account of herself today.

In division 2 we are represented by HEORES RISE, a previous point-to-point winner, he made a respectable debut for the yard in Fairyhouse and should progress with that run under his belt. Sam Ewing is in the saddle in the colours of the Scully Family.

In the feature race of the day “The Kilbeggan Handicap Hurdle” over 3mile, we have two runners. VINA ARDANZA, returns to action after a break and reverts back over hurdles today. One of the highest rated in the field, he will enjoy todays nice ground and has Jake Coen taking a valuable 5lbs off his back. OSSIFER HOPS also returns from a small break, making his first visit to Kilbeggan. He steps back up in trip today and is another who will enjoy the dryer ground conditions, with Sam Ewing back on board.

In the sixth race of the day the beginners chase over the extended 2m 4f trip, HUNTING BROOK makes his debut over fences. He registered back to back wins over hurdles for the yard last season and put in an encouraging display the last day in first time blinkers. But he faces a new challenge today and may find his niche over the larger obstacles. He has been in great form at home and Danny Gilligan takes 3lb off his back.

MOTOWN MAGGIE is our last runner of the day in the handicap chase over the extended 2m 4f trip. She returns to action after over a year off the track, kicking off her season for new connections. A dual winner over fences over similar trips to today, she has her usual cheekpieces applied and will enjoy getting back on decent ground which she thrives on. Danny Gilligan gets the leg up for the first time.
