Over in Kilbeggan we start the day with AMBER POINT in the maiden hurdle. This looks a very weak race and hopefully Jake Coen can get the best out of this horse whilst also having a 3lb claim.
YARRAMAN MAKARRATA goes in the handicap hurdle over 2m. It will be his season reappearance and will improve from what he does here. It looks competitive and hopefully he can go well.
Next up we have two in the maiden hurdle as our reserve gets in. KASANOVAS’S DREAM ran a cracker on debut to come home third and could go well again here today with Sam Ewing in the saddle. ARDEEN JOY gets in as second reserve and she has a lovely pedigree, she is a daughter of Walk in the Park and is a half sister to a smart horse.
YEATS STAR goes in the 3m handicap hurdle. He unseated the last day and has a quick turn around here. He is high enough in the weights here and will have Sam Ewing in the saddle.
For the first chase on the card we have 2 runners; HARDY DIAMOND and LAKOTA BLUE. HARDY DIAMOND won her first race around here and can hopefully emulate that with Jordan Gainford booked to ride. Lakota Blue needs to improve here but gets a weight for age allowance with Danny booked to ride.
RAINBOW TRAIL should prefer the ground on offer here for the handicap chase and we claim off him with James Smith who takes the ride, Hopefully we can see the best of him here.
Finally in Kilbeggan we have STEDE BONNET who goes in the bumper. He has a nice pedigree and is a full brother to Shannon Royal. He might not get it all his own way as others have racecourse fitness on their side but we hope he goes well with Harry Swan booked to ride.
Over in Leopardstown we have RAYDAMANN in the lady riders handicap. He has a nice mark on the flat and Hannah Smullen has a very useful 7lb claim which can hopefully carry him to the front.
