Kilbeggan and Chester

We kick off the afternoon with A FORTUNE OUT WEST in the maiden hurdle. This horse has struggled since the switch from his debut point win. This is a wide open race where we hope he can gain some form. He will have Shane Fitzgerald in the saddle claiming 3lbs.

ROYAL EAGLE returns from her winter break where she has done very well. She left off her season last year on a good note and will hopefully be close in today’s proceedings with Ben Harvey in the saddle claiming 5lbs.

There are two lovely fillies going forward in the maiden hurdle over2m3f. LUCKY STORM is having her first start on the track and she can hopefully go well with Jody McGarvey booked to ride. HURRICANE HONEY is a sister to the hardy Hurricane Georgie who loves it around Kilbeggan so hopefully that runs in the family. Ricky Doyle has been booked to ride.

We have another two horses in the handicap hurdle LEVEL NEVERENDING and RUN FOR PAT. These two will be well down the weights with some big hitters taking the brunt of it. Level Neverending looks to have found himself recently and will have Donnagh Myler in the saddle whilst the in form Run For Pat will be ridden by Corey McGivern claims 7lbs.

ITSWHATUNITESUS has his first start over fences in this beginners chase over 2m3f. He looks like and old school chaser and can hopefully thrive over the bigger obstacles with Ben Harvey in the saddle claiming 5lbs. Nonbinding is first reserve.

For yet another race we double up with GALLYHILL and ARCTIC AMBITION in the handicap chase. Gallyhill has been in reasonable form since joining us and has had a freshener since his last run. Corey McGivern rides and claims 7lbs. Arctic Ambition was a winner last time out when returning to action. He will be ridden by Gavin Brouder who claims 5lbs.

In the bumper we have our last two runners, CROKE PARK and YORKSHIRE ESCAPE. Croke Park was an impressive point to point winner and he hasn’t run since. Hopefully he will be run well and Harry Swan has been booked to ride. Yorkshire Escape will be having her first taste of the race course. She is related to a few nice horses and should progress with time, Josh Williamson has been booked to ride and claims 7.

Across the water in Chester we are represented by BY YOUR SIDE in the White Oak Apprentice Handicap. He has been running consistently over hurdles throughout the winter and was just denied success at the Punchestown Festival. He reverts back to the flat today and should run well under Billy Loughnane.
