Gowran and Listowel

Its been a reasonably successful bank holiday weekend so far and today we have two meetings with one runner on the flat in Gowran and a few over jumps in Listowel.

LIGHTNING LEGS is having her first start on the track and she got a good education in a barrier trial recently which should place her in good nick. There are a few more exposed types in here and hopefully she goes well with Declan McDonogh booked to ride.

Over in Listowel MAGIC DAWN starts the day off in the maiden hurdle over 2m. She has put in some really nice performances and has just been a bit unlucky lately. Sam Ewing is in flying form and booked to ride.

Our next runner is another filly in the shape of TEAGARDEN JAZZ, a line can be put through her last start and that isn’t a good representative of her skill. Hopefully claimer Carl Millar can work his magic and get her on song again.

There is good prize money on offer in the handicap hurdle where we have THE WALLPARK. The ground possibly won’t be his way here but he is a talented horse and should improve from his last start with Sam booked to ride.

For the John Galvin chase we have MAXXUM and FURY ROAD. Maxxum has been reunited with Carl who can get a great tune out of him. It looks a very competitive field but hopefully they can go well. Fury Road needs to bounce back but the ground will be in his favour with Jordan booked to ride.

BATTLEOVERDOYEN and HARDLINE go head to head in the hunter chase with the two Josh’s booked to ride. Hardline ran very well from the front the last day in a point to point and will have Josh Williamson in the saddle. Battleoverdoyen can be hit and miss but Josh Halford got a good hold of him the last day and can hopefully be successful again here.
