It was great to get on the scoreboard yesterday and today is a big one where we will have 7 runners in the plate.

Our first runner of the day will be SON OF ANARCHY in the 2m6f maiden hurdle. He has been lightly campaigned and his run the last day showed a lot of promise. Mark Walsh has been booked to ride and it looks like it’s an open looking contest when you take out the favourite.

Next up is OSSIFER HOPS in the 2m6f handicap hurdle. This will be a big enough task on OSSIFER’S return to the track. He could run well fresh and he has Jack Kennedy in the saddle. Fingers crossed he goes well.

In the Tote Galway Plate we have the current favourite DOWN MEMORY LANE. This horse returns after a break and had some lofty targets last season, Mark Walsh has been booked to ride. THREE CARD BRAG is another making his return to the track for the season in this. He has good form and can hopefully get stuck into this. WESTERN FOLD is an improving horse but this is a very big step up in class for him and he will be ridden by Danny Gilligan. ZANAHIYR was third in this last year and returns here fresh with Josh Williamson claiming 7lbs. CHEMICAL ENERGY is another who comes here fresh with tongue tie and cheek-pieces fitted along with Eoin Stables claiming 7lbs. DUFFLE COAT often has a big one in him and placed in this last year and will have Sam Ewing in the saddle. Our dark horse of the field is SHECOULDBEANYTHING who has cheekpieces reapplied for this. She will need to be with them early on but she is a class act on her day, Jordan rides.

It will be a bit of a wait till our last runner MISS GITANA in the 2m handicap. It was great to see her get her nose in front the last day on the level and is hopefully open to improvement off a low mark and will have Leigh Roche in the saddle.
