Galway and Perth

Today we have just the one runner in Galway which gives us a quick getaway as he is in the opener.

AMIR KABIR can hopefully mirror Royal Eagle by scoring in the opener. He has had one start over hurdles to date and takes the step up to this listed event. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride and can hopefully get in the mix.

Over in Perth there has been a plague of small fields. Not helped by the restrictions still on Irish trained horses in class 5 races. Our first runner is TED HASTINGS in the novice hurdle. He has really taken well to racing over here and looks in good form as he faces only two rivals. Sean Bowen rides.

We bring forward half the field for the Novices chase which means we have two runners in it. THE GREEK and DON DIABLO. The Greek is fitted with first time blinkers which can hopefully be effective and Sean Bowen rides. Don Diablo is the pick of Brian Huges and can hopefully regain his form here.

BALLYQUIN BAY and DAME PRESTIGE go forward for the maiden hurdle over 2m4f. Ballyquin Bay put in a career best the last day to come home 2nd and should a good attitude. He will be ridden by Sean Bowen. Dame Prestige looks very unexposed here and improved the last day. She will be ridden by Henry Brooke.

For the Handicap chase over 3m we have TORYGRAPH and HERMANN CLERMONT. If we hadn’t declared in this race it could have been a walkover as there is only one other rival. Hermann is another horse who has benefitted from a trip to the Uk recently and is the pick of Sean. Torygraph has more to give than his form suggests and hopefully he can show improvement here with Henry Brooke in the saddle.

Our final runner of the day is KEEPTHEFAITHINME who is becoming a regular over here. On rating he is the one to beat here but he isn’t too far out out the handicap. There is the improving mare of Iain Jardines to contend with so he won’t have it all his own way.
