Things are certainly starting to feel a bit more wintery, not only with the weather but as we start to take the covers off some of our winter horses.

In the first race we have FAUX FUR in the mares maiden hurdle. This filly had her first run over hurdles in Navan and did well. She should be better here and will have Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

KING OF KINGSFIELD makes his return to the track after his summer break. He looked like a top class horse last season and goes over hurdles for the first time here it what looks like a warm contest. Others may have a bit of fitness on him having run already but hopefully his class will shine through with Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

For the maiden hurdle over 2m4.5f we have SHANNON ROYALE and NO TURN UNSTONED. Shannon Royale looked like he just needed a bit more time and has come back well from his summer. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. No Turn Unstoned has just the one run under his belt where he ran well. Hopefully the switch to this small runner hurdle can bring out the best in him with Jordan Gainford in the saddle.

For the 80-109 handicap hurdle we have APPIAN WAY. This will be a step up in trip from his last two runs to 3ms. This looks a very open race where we’re towards the bottom of the weights. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

The final race on the card is the bumper where we have ZEFIRO DODVILLE. This will be his first start for us since winning his point to point on debut as a 4yo. We have given him time and hopefully that has done him the world of good. Aine O’Connor has been booked to ride and she is able to claim 3lbs.
