Fairyhouse Saturday

We kick things off with a red hot beginners chase where Jack has chosen to ride TWOOHTHREE. He was an impressive winner of his maiden hurdle and looks to go best fresh. He looks well capable at this level. STAFFORDSHIRE KNOT was Grade 1 placed over hurdles last season where he found Brighterdaysahead too good for him. He looks like he wants a trip and will have Sam in the saddle. Finally BIG STAGE has been running with credit but was unlucky to fall the last day and will be ridden by Jody McGarvey today.

The ladies handicap chase also looks very competitive where SHAJAK leads our charge under Aine O’Connor, he has been going well and can hopefully keep that up here. RINGDUFFERIN has the benefit of Charlotte Butler, she has been a very lucky rider for us lately and can hopefully go well. Rounding off the tri we have GENERAL HUBBLE who is a bit out of the handicap here but in great form and reunites with Toni Quail.

The mercurial AMERICAN MIKE goes in the Listed handicap chase. It wasn’t to be in the Troytown but he ran well considering he was top weight. Carl Millar rides and claims 5lbs.

the 2m maiden hurdle looks very deep as 25 runners go to post. The winner of this will surely be a nice horse for the future. BALLYBOW had the perfect start by winning his bumper but he looks like he should be more useful over obstacles and Jack is booked to ride.

We have a pair of very good mares for the Grade 3 WillowWarm in the shape of KALA CONTI and the return of the unbeaten WODHOOH. Kala Conti got the job done in Down Royal the last day and hopefully this can be another step in the right direction for her with Jack in the saddle. Wodhooh will need the run today after a near year of a layoff. Whatever she does here she will improve from.

DISCO DANCER goes in the rated novices hurdle. This filly has a date in the sales ring coming up so it would be brilliant if she could get the win under Jack. Heros Rise can hopefully do what it takes to try and squeeze into the frame but this is a hot race, Sam rides.

GOLDEN JOY disappointed the last day in down Royal but can hopefully redeem himself here with Jack booked to ride. Harsh is a similar profile and they claim off him with Carl Millar’s 5lbs claim.

Finally we have a mouthwatering renewal of the Wille Elliott memorial bumper. KOKTAIL BRUT was a nice winner of his point to point and we claim off him with Josh Williamson who takes off 7. MA JACKS HILL has a lovely profile and will be ridden by Harry Swan taking away 3lbs. Finally WILLIAM BUTLER will be seeing the track for the first time and looks another nice type, Josh Halford rides.
