Its the start of a big weekend for us as we enter 3 busy days of racing. In the opening mares maiden hurdle we have COOL NATIVE. Cool Native returns after a long break and should come on for the run with Jack booked to ride.
For the Ladies National we have two strong candidates in the shape of LUCKY LYREEN and BINGE WORTHY. Both have first time headgear with Lucky Lyreen having first time blinkers to try get him back to winning ways under Charlotte Butler who claims 7lbs. Binge Worthy is a stout stayer and again is fitted with with first time blinkers, he will be ridden by Sarah Kavanagh who claims 7lbs.
We have many darts to fire in the 2m4f maiden hurdle with the first being HE CAN’T DANCE who has blinkers on for the first time. He is forever the bridesmaid having placed multiple times but is highly rated and is the pick of Jack Kennedy. LE QUESTIONNAIRE is having his first start for the yard and he was placed in a p2p in England. He looks open to improvement and will be ridden by Danny Gilligan. RI AN STOIRM maybe be better suited to handicaps but we claim off him here with Paddy Cleary who claims 7lbs. Finally WHO’S GOING has a similar profile and will be ridden by Jordan Gainford.
For the Listed novice handicap hurdle we have 4 runners WINNING SMUT, TIP OF THE WINGS, SEPT ETOILES and PANJANDRUM. Winning Smut comes here fresh and goes off top weight with Josh Williamson booked to ride and claiming 5lbs. Tip of the Wings has first time cheekpieces on and has been in good form. He is the pick of Jack Kennedy. Sept Etoiles is relatively unexposed in this and could be the dark horse in this under Danny Gilligan. Rounding off the squad is Panjandrum who will appreciate every drop of rain as he chases two in a row with James Smith booked to ride claiming 5lbs.
The Listed RYBO handicap hurdle looks a hot event where we have two runners. It was brilliant to see PLAYTIME win the last day and takes a step up in class here under Jordan Gainford. MODE AVION has a really low weight here and we claim a further 5lbs off with Josh Williamson booked to ride.
For the last race of the day we have LIZZIE TWIGG in the Listed mares bumper. She looked a forward going filly when winning on debut and could be the one to beat with Harry Swan booked to ride
