Dublin Racing Festival Day 2

We return to Dublin for the Listed mares hurdle. We have been successful in this race twice before and we have a nice trio heading there today. QUALIMITA will need to prove her worth but she is improving with ever run. She has a tongue tie fitted for the first time and Sam Ewing is booked to ride. MEDIA NARANJA has had a busy season so she is fit and well coming into this with Carl booked to ride and claiming 5lbs. DISCO DANCER was a worthy winner the last day and hopefully she can keep improving with Danny booked to ride.

For the Grade 3 handicap chase we have BETTER DAYS AHEAD and CROKE PARK. Better Days Ahead looks a really smart horse who hasn’t quite got his day in the limelight yet and will be ridden by Danny. Croke Park has had 3 wins on the bounce and 2 Grade 1s yet remains the underdog. Sam Ewing has been booked to ride.

The next Grade 1 on the card is the Novice hurdle where we have BLEU DE VASSY and WHINNEY HILL. Bleu de vassy is very much liked at home and will be the ride of Sam Ewing. Whinney Hill hasn’t done much wrong either and will be ridden by Danny.

For the Grade 3 Handicap chase we have SEARCH FOR GLORY, MARS HARPER and RIAAN. Riaan looks well handicapped in this and has first time cheekpieces with Danny Gilligan. Mars Harper shows up well in these big handicaps and will have Jordan in the saddle. Search For Glory comes with nice form and will be ridden by Sam.

For the Champion hurdle FILS D’OUDAIRIES goes on the hunt for more prize money as he has been picking up bits and pieces along the way this season. Sam Ewing has been booked to ride.

Our final runners of the weekend will come in the Listed handicap hurdle over 2m. RELIEVED OF DUTIES ran a very creditable race the last day in good company with Jordan Gainford booked to ride. THE ENABLER was Gordon’s 2000th winner on the track in Ireland and hopefully he can add to that here under Sam Ewing. GRIMAUD is a huge price for this and comes here underexposed with Danny booked to ride.
