Downpatrick and BALLINROBE

We start the week off with a trip to Downpatrick where we have 4 runners. LIGHTNING LEGS goes in the opener, a 2m2f maiden hurdle. This will be her third start over hurdles and she will qualify for a mark after this. She has been improving steadily and can hopefully get into the frame under Sam Ewing.

Our next runner on the card is PENNY PERFECT in the 2m6f maiden hurdle. She ran very well on debut where she picked up 4th place. This looks like a very open race and Penny is less exposed than some of the others. Danny Gilligan has been booked to ride.

OSSIFER HOPS goes in first time blinkers in the Randox handicap hurdle. He was a bit disappointing the last day in Galway but was returning from a very long layoff so we’ll put a line through that. We have Jake Coen booked to ride.

Finally in the beginners chase we have SPECULATRIX who has taken quite well to chasing and goes up against the boys. She was 3rd the last day and looks to be progressing nicely. Kevin Sexton has been booked to ride and hopefully they can go well.

Later in the evening we have two runners over in Ballinrobe where KING OF KINGSFIELD goes in the 2m1f chase. It was great to see this horse back to winning ways at the Galway festival. He has a first time tongue tie on here and will be ridden by Jack Kennedy where they can hopefully keep up the good work.

Our final runner of the day is BLUE WATERS in the mares bumper. She has a run under her belt which should help her cause and she has Harry Swan booked to ride.
