Limerick Day 1 & Far Hills

We head down to Limerick with 5 runners today.

In the opener, the 4yo maiden hurdle, we send out MARCO DU SEUIL. A previous Grade 3 bumper winner in France, he was second on hurdling debut back in May before going out on his summer break. He comes into this race fresh and well and will hopefully go close under Mark Walsh.

In the 2m3f maiden hurdle we send out YOUKNOWTHECODE. Well held on his handicap debut in Downpatrick, he steps up in trip here today as he reverts back to maiden company but will need to improve on what he has show us so far. Josh Williamson rides and claims 3lb.

MY FOREVER ANNIE has her first start for us in the mares listed hurdle. A point winner at Lingstown back in 2023, she then relocated to the USA where she broke her maiden tag over timber. She has a nice way of going at home and we will learn plenty about her today. Sam Ewing rides.

In the 2m handicap hurdle we run CUMBERLAND RIVER. He would ideally prefer more of an ease in the ground so might find today’s conditions unfavourable. A course and distance winner here back at Christmas, he will be the mount of Jordan Gainford.

Our final runner of the day is DINNER DANCE in the mares bumper. Second on her bumper debut back in May, the form has been boosted with the 3rd placed horse winning a maiden hurdle since and we are hoping she can build on that run. Harry Swan rides.

Across the water in the USA we are represented by 5 runners.

Our first runner is PORCUPINE BANK in the 4yo hurdle. Placed in all 5 starts over hurdles, he has had a break since his last run with this race being his main target for the season. Hopefully he can run a big race for connections, Del Rio Racing. Jack Kennedy rides.

SAN HILARIO bids to try and break his maiden tag in the maiden stakes. Placed on 6 of his 12 starts to date, this will be his first start for new connections, Del Rio Racing and he will be the mount of Jack Kennedy.

In the Foxbrook Champion Hurdle we send out the ever consistent LIZZIE TWIGG. Only beaten once in her 5 starts, she bids to add another string to her bow in this novice contest. She has the benefit of a fillies allowance and Jack Kennedy takes the ride.

Our final runners are in the Grade 1 American Grand National. Last year’s winner ZANAHIYR is back to try and keep his crown. He will appreciate the drop of rain which they have had on course this week and comes into the race in fine form. He will be ridden by Danny Gilligan this time. Last years Galway Plate winner WESTERN FOLD makes his first trip stateside. He holds all of the right credentials for this race and is the pick of Jack Kennedy.
