We’re back at Punchestown for some jumps racing. CONTADOR is a newcomer to the yard and has some nice flat runs where he was a fast finisher in France. He has since been gelded but looks to have plenty of stamina in his pedigree and will be ridden by Jack Kennedy on debut in this 3yo maiden hurdle.

Our next challenger is SAMUI in the William Hill Challenge Series hurdle over 2m7f. Samui has been busy lately so fitness is no problem. He isn’t the highest rated in the field but should not be discounted with Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

For the 2m4f maiden hurdle we have two horses, DOCTOR ELVIS and WHO’S GOING. Doctor Elvis has had his issues and we hope he can have a strong season. He is the selection of Jack Kennedy and can hopefully be strong. Who’s Going will be ridden by Danny Gilligan here. He was much better the last day when 4th although he was beaten a long way. He will be better suited to handicaps in time but the more experience he gets the better.

Rounding off the day we have WESTIN PIMPERNEL who is having her first run for us. She hasn’t shown a huge amount on the track but a change in scene might bring out a bit of improvement. Josh Williamson has been booked to ride and claims a valuable 3lbs.
