It was great to get a winner yesterday on the beach of Laytown and today we turn to something more traditional where we start off with WE’RE OUT OF ACES in the 3yo maiden hurdle. This neat filly is having her first run on the track and has a nice quality pedigree and is the own sister to a winner. Ethan O’Sullivan has been booked to ride and claims 7lbs. We also have the first reserve SONNY CORLEONE who if he gets in would be having his first run over jumps but is race fit from the flat with Kevin Sexton booked to ride.

GOODGOLLYMISSHOLLY is a winner of her bumper and looks to add to that with a maiden hurdle success. She has a first time tongue tie on having disappointed the last day in a similar event. James Smith has been booked to ride and claims 5lbs.

For the handicap hurdle we have NEEDS MUST who hasn’t set the world alight yet and may be just a bit too high in the ratings for this contest. We claim with Kevin Healy in the saddle taking away 7lbs.

In contrast for the mares handicap hurdle we have SOUND JUDGEMENT who has a nice mark and has hit a vein of consistency. There are others in this that may hold slightly more class however Kevin Sextons experience might be the key to this.

Our final runner of the afternoon is COOKES LASS in the mares beginners chase. This mare returns after a long break and showed that she prefers a sounder surface to heavy winter going. This will be her first run over fences but her pedigree suggests that she should have not trouble with the trip. This will be another ride for Kevin Sexton.
