It’s a quiet day for us in Galway with just two runners.

WENDROCK contests the 2m6f beginners chase. A useful juvenile hurdler, this will be his third start over the larger obstacles. He’s yet to show any real spark over his fences but he won his maiden hurdle on good to yielding ground so should handle the good ground well here today. Sam Ewing rides.

In the Galway Blazers we send out SHANBALLY KID. This will be his second start for us since joining the team from Closutton. He was 6th in the Midlands National in Kilbeggan last time out where a mistake at the second last put pay to his chances but he had been running a brilliant race up until that point. We’re hoping for a similar run from him today but the trip might be a touch on the short side for him. Jack Kennedy rides.
