Galway day 2

We start the second day of the festival with some exciting runner. Our first two of the day are PORCUPINE BANK and LIZZIE TWIGG. Both of these horses look like they’ll have bright futures ahead of them and they’re very hard to split at home. Lizzie Twigg gets a mares allowance which could be the key ingredient in her getting her head in front. She will be the mount of Jack Kennedy. Sam Ewing will ride Porcupine Bank who he has had the pleasure of riding on his last two starts. He has the benefit of a bit more time between runs and could prove a smart type.

The beginners chase looks a trappy sort of race where there are a few with chances. BOWENSONFIRE flew up the rankings last season over hurdles and has his first attempt over fences here. He has shown usefulness on this ground and has delivered on the big stage before, Jack rides. ARCH EMPIRE also has his chase debut here but might be better suited to handicap company in future but the trip should be ideal for him under Danny Gilligan.

Finally our last runner comes in the BMW COLM QUINN handicap chase where we have TRUCKERS CRUISING. His mark puts him in the middle of the pack here but hopefully he will put his best foot forward here under Sam Ewing.
