Cheltenham and Doncaster

With racing abandoned in Ireland today, we head across the water to Cheltenham and Doncaster.

Our sole runner of the day in Doncaster is HIGHLAND CRYSTAL in the first race of the day ,the fillies listed juvenile hurdle. She’s two from two over hurdles to date and impressed us when she powered home in a listed contest at Newbury last time out. She bids to remain unbeaten under Jordan Gainford.

We send out four runners to Cheltenham.

HARDY STUFF was a Christmas winner for owner Ray Stokes when he took the juvenile hurdle at Leopardstown on the 27th December. He looks to be on an upward trajectory and could run another big race in this Grade 2 contest. Jack Kennedy takes the ride.

We are represented by two runners in the cross country chase. FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU tries his hand over the banks for the second time. He was a faller in this event back in December but has come out and won a big handicap at Leopardstown over Christmas since. He should show a good account of himself if he can get a clear round in and Jack Kennedy takes the ride. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN is a big fan of the mud but seems to have lot his way over regulation fences. He tackles the cross country banks for the first time today and hopefully he will take to it well. Sean Bowen is booked to ride.

Our final runner of the day is OPEN SECRET in the Grade 2 novice hurdle. He was a 7 length winner of his maiden hurdle at the third time of asking and has been running consistently well since joining the stable. He is another who could run a big race today and will be partnered by Jack Kennedy.
