Listowel & Perth (Day 2)

After the excitement on the Kerry National yesterday, it’s a much quieter day for the team. We now only have runners in Perth as our two horses in Listowel are non runners.

KENISA SPORT takes on a 7 runner field in the mares novice hurdle. A winner last time out on her hurdling debut, she looks in with a good chance of adding to her tally as she steps up in trip to 2m4f. Sean Bowen takes the ride.

LIGHTKEEPER heads back to Perth for the 2m4f Centenary Silver Plate Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase. He was a winner over course and distance the last day and should show another good account of himself in this small field contest. Sean Bowen partners him once again.

In the Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Chase we run THEHAIRYFELLA. He pulled up last time out in Kilbeggan but has proven himself on better ground so the going here should aid his chances. He also sits a the bottom of the weights and has the additional benefit of Benjamin Macey’s 7lb claim.

BOSTON RAJJ makes a quick reappearance after finishing 3rd in Downpatrick on Friday. He’s previously won a handicap hurdle over 3m1f so the trip should be to his liking and he’s capable of running a big race under Benjamin Macey and his 7lb claim.

Our final runner of the day is GERRY’S WISH. Another who makes a quick reappearance after running respectably in Navan on Saturday. She will be contesting 3 miles for the first time but looks as though she should appreciate the step up in trip. James Bowen rides.
