Royal Ascot and Roscommon

We couldn’t be heading to two more different tracks today as we set sail for Royal Ascot and have jumpers around Roscommon.

Firstly we will look at our two runners at the Royal meeting. First up is the classy juvenile hurdler PIED PIPER in the Ascot Stakes, a handicap over an extended 2m3f. This is a real mix of flat and national hunt where the top two in the betting are more likely to be seen at Cheltenham rather than Royal Ascot. Our horse gets a first time tongue tie and will probably wear a hood to the start to keep him settled. Jamie Spencer has been booked to ride.

Our second runner is PLATINUMCARD in the Copper Horse Stakes over 1m6f. This horse had been doing well in similar races before he joined the team and gets in off a nice mark. We will also be using Ryan Sexton who has a very valuable 5lb claim to help even further.

Over in Roscommon we have GLENLOE in the Connacht National. This horse exited proceedings very early in the Perth Gold cup but was non the worse for it so comes here well. Simon Torrens has been booked to ride.

For the opportunity maiden hurdle we have WRECKING BALL PAUL who goes in a first time hood. He has good form to date and certainly seems like one who should be in the winners enclosure soon. Ben Mulligan has been booked to ride and claims 4lbs.

It’s a very small field for the Rated Novices Hurdle where we have last time out winner BRAVO TEAM where the cheek pieces are back on again and hopefully have the same effect. Corey McGivern has been booked to ride and claims 7lbs.

In the bumper we have THEMANINTHEBOOTS who ran another great race yesterday to come home second. It will be a big ask to see him out again today and Harry Swan has been booked to ride.
