NAVAN SATURDAY

Kicking off the November festival we have WINGMEN and LYGON LAD. Wingmen is a big strong gelding who can hopefully power home in this with Jack Kennedy in the saddle. Lygon Lad has a run under his belt already and and we will claim off him with Jake Coen taking away 3lbs.

VOICE OF REASON ran a career best the last day to come home 3rd and can hopefully improve again here in this big field where he has a nice weight and Jack Kennedy booked to ride.

For the 2m handicap hurdle we have 4 runners, CALICO, HARSH, MEDIA NARANJA and THE MEDIATOR. Calico has been a brilliant fighter for connections and will have Finn Brickley on her back claiming 7lbs. Harsh is having his second start for us and can hopefully build on his last run. Media Naranja returns after her break and will have Carl Millar in the saddle claiming 7lbs. Finally The Mediator got a well deserved win the last day and is right at the bottom of the weights here with Sam Ewing booked to ride.

We have two very nice horses in the Grade 3 novices hurdle, BLUE DE VASSEY and PATTER MERCHANT. Blue De Vassy was very impressive on his racecourse reappearance this season and is the pick of Jack Kennedy. Patter Merchant is also on the up and up and it will be hard to pick between them with Sam in the saddle

We nearly have half the field for the Lismullen Hurdle where we have BEACON EDGE, MAXXUM, ZANAHIYR and ROYAL EAGLE. Zanahiyr has first time blinkers on for this and is the pick of Jack Kennedy. Maxxum will need to find his form from last season to feature here and will be ridden by Keith Donoghue. Beacon Edge reeled back the years on his last start to score at this level and is ridden by Danny Gilligan. Royal Eagle ran a cracker the last day and deserves a crack at this level with Sam booked to ride.

For the Fortria Chase we have one of my favourite (Pip) horses in training, FOUND A FIFTY. He won his Down Royal return well and is one of the younger members of this field with the world at his feet especially over this trip, Jack takes the ride.

The beginners chase is an interesting affair. DOWN MEMORY LANE is very unexposed and looked like a good horse when he won his p2p, Mark Walsh has been booked to ride. It was great to have GRINGO D’AUBRELLE back on track and he ran accordingly in Down Royal, Jody McGarvey has been booked to ride. KING OF KINGSFIELD looked like he was going to take the scalp of Brighterdaysahead the last day in Down Royal so all is to play for here with Jack in the saddle.

Finally in the bumper we have WHINNEY HILL. Whinney hill has a run under his belt which may favour him in this race. Harry Swan rides. HE CAN’T DANCE is a non runner.
