We kick off the harvest festival in Listowel with 5 runners on day one.

ZAYNAB is our first runner of the day in the opening 3 year old hurdle. She is a high class sort on the flat, winning two of her four runs over 7f and 1m. The half sister to Zanahiyr makes her debut over hurdles today, she wears a first time hood and has been schooling really well at home. In what is a competitive race she gets weight off plenty of her rivals and has Sam Ewing in the saddle.

In race 2 the 2.30pm DISCO DANCER takes her chance. She is 1-8 over hurdles but have been very consistent throughout her career. She makes her first visit to Listowel, steps back up in trip today and has the benefit of Jack Kennedy in the saddle. Hopefully she can take home some prize money again today.

AIR DROP takes her chance in the extended 2m 1f Novice chase. She makes her third start over fences after running a cracker the last day at Downpatrick. She drops back in trip today, which will be no problem to her as she is a forward going type. Jack Kennedy takes over the reins today and she gets 5lbs off the previous winners in the race today. 

Our final runners of the day are in the Kerry Group Handicap Chase at 4.30pm. MAGIC TRICKS and I A CONNECT both take their chance. MAGIC TRICKS makes his handicap debut, off an 11lbs lower rating than his hurdle rating. A winner on his chasing debut, three starts back, he has the addition of first time blinkers on today and drops back in trip today. Mark Walsh is on board. I A CONNECT returns to the track where he won his maiden hurdle, dropped 1lb since his last run, he has his usual cheekpieces fitted
