Unfortunately the weather has put a stop to racing in Navan today so we just head to Gowran Park with 7 runners.

Our first runner of the day is ABBEYDALE in the Goresbridge Maiden Hurdle (Div 1). He drops back in trip to 2 miles after just slightly struggling over 2m4f on the more galloping tracks. He should appreciate the step back in distance and could be a major contender under Jordan Gainford.

JEEPYDOFF MEEL represents us in Divison 2 of the maiden hurdle. He’s been knocking on the door in maiden hurdle company and is another who looks to be in with a strong chance of getting his head in front today. Jordan Gainford takes the ride.

We saddle 3 in the mares maiden hurdle. DOUBLE DATING is having her second start over hurdles. She finished mid field the last day on heavy ground and should improve for the experience. Jody McGarvey has been booked to ride. GRANOS GIRL has been well beaten in both of her starts over hurdles to date. She will need to take a huge step forward to feature here today. Ricky Doyle will be in the saddle. MINNIE BEETS is making her racecourse debut for the Havin-A-Mare Syndicate. She’ll learn plenty from her outing today and Jordan Gainford has been booked to ride.

GARS DE SCEAUX is having his 3rd start over fences in the Beginners Chase. He ran a credible race last time out to finish 3rd behind Mahler Mission in a 3 mile contest and stands a good chance of going close here today. Jordan Gainford will be in the saddle.

Our final runner of the day is WILL DO in the bumper for Gigginstown House Stud. He has been unlucky to bump into some very good horses in his runs to date including Fact To File. We’re hoping he will get his head in front today under Harry Swan.
