Galway and Cheltenham

Today we head back to Cheltenham and kick off a three day meeting in Galway.

We have just two runners in Cheltenham and they both come in the Pertemps qualifier, where unfortunately Shajak was balloted out. RINGDUFFERIN is on a good streak at the minute and has a solid eachway chance here with Jordan Gainford in the saddle. Things look favourable for him and hopefully he can book his ticket for March. Gortmillish is having a crack at this which will hopefully open up his options for the Spring. He is a talented horse who we’re going to claim off with Danny Gilligan taking away 5lbs.

Over in Galway we have KALEOSUN in the 3yo hurdle. This French import made a nice start last time and hopefully he can improve here. He is bred for the job and will have Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

POUR LES FILLES is now a non-runner.

We send two forward for the handicap hurdle over 2m6f; SANTONITO and JAY JAY ZEE. Santonito is having his first start of the season as well as his first start in a handicap. He should improve from here and Jack Kennedy is booked to ride. Jay Jay Zee gets a lovely low weight here and will have the addition of 5lb claimer Jake Coen in the saddle.

Rounding off the bunch is TACTICAL AFFAIR in the bumper. This gelding has only had one start where he ran with credit in the sales bumper in Punchestown to come home 5th. A Summers grass will have done him the world of good and Harry Swan has been booked to ride and he claims 5lbs.
