Clonmel and Perth

Today we head down to Clonmel for an evening meeting and have one runner in Perth to complete our quick jaunt over to the UK.

CHAMPAGNE SPARKLES is in a small runner field for a novice chase over 3m. He has some good form and can hopefully pull it out of the bag on better ground. Sean Bowen rode a winner for us yesterday in great style and can hopefully do the business here again today.

Over in Clonmel our first runner there is ROYAL EAGLE in the mares maiden hurdle. She has had one spin out over hurdles so far and did well on that occasion. She is a nice filly who will hopefully go well here for connections and has Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

For the novice hurdle we have DARTINGTON who was thrown in at the deep end the last day in a Grade 2 event. This is a drop in class and the good ground should suit and Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

For the maiden hurdle over 2m3.5 we have LIEUTENANT HIGHWAY and ASK PHILIP. Lieutenant Highway showed he can be a bit of a difficult ride the last day and a line can be put through that run. He has also been stepped up in trip and cheek pieces have been fitted. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. Our second runner Ask Philip will be having his first run on the track and this could be a bit of a fact finding mission where we hope for him to run well as he has Jordan Gainford in the saddle.

Finally we have THE ABBEY who switches back to hurdling. He has a few flat wins and his best form is over fences. He is 7lbs lower over hurdles and we look to take advantage of that with Jack Kennedy booked to ride.

Visible attraction is a non runner.
