Cheltenham Friday

Today we have two runners over in Cheltenham as we watch Tiger Roll get inducted into the Hall of Fame!.

Tiger, a 5 time winner at The Festival will be on parade along with other past champions before racing, giving everyone a chance to see him in his life after racing. It is amazing to see such a great horse get the recognition and I’m sure Tiger will be making many trips to Cheltenham in the future to parade.

Our first runner of the afternoon is ENKI FLACKE in the Markel Insurance Conditional jockeys handicao hurdle. Enki has had a good run of it recently winning three on the bounce in the UK. This will be a step up in company swapping Perth for Cheltenham. He has some decent back form in Ireland against top horses but this will be his first start in handicap company. Cheek pieces are fitted for the first time also along with Sam Ewing who claims 3lbs.

Our second runner of the afternoon is MUSIC DRIVE in the Ballymore Novices Hurdle, which is a Grade 2 over 2m5f. This horse finished 3rd here the last day in a Novice hurdle where he probably just got a a bit out paced from the start. There is an extra furlong today and he will be fitted with first time cheekpieces. It looks a hot race and rightly so, Jack Kennedy has flown over for the ride.
