Firstly we head over to Downpatrick where our first runner of the afternoon is YEATS STAR. This gelding has put together a string of good runs but will need to step it up a notch here but will have Jack Kennedy in the saddle to get it done.
Our next runners come in the Rated Novices Hurdle of 2m5f with JAY JAY ZEE and RINGDUFFERIN. Ringdufferin will have first time cheekpieces and hopefully they are the missing pieces to the puzzle with Jack Kennedy booked to ride. Jay Jay Zee won first time out over hurdles but has found things bit difficult since but will have Carl Millar on claiming 7lbs.
For the Beginners chase we have JENNY FLEX who was a point to point winner. She hasn’t won under rules since but now she has her first run over fences where she can hopefully show her talent. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.
C’EST QUELQU’UN was a winner the last day and hopefully he can continue on this upward trajectory. Jack Kennedy is booked and this should be a competitive race.
Wrapping things up in Dowpatrick is WESTERN FOLD in the bumper. This horse ran a cracker in the Goffs Landrover bumper and came third. Time is all this horse needs and Harry Swan has been booked to ride and claims 5lbs.
Over in Ballinrobe we have MILLENNIUM ROSE in the 3yo hurdle. She has some of the better form in this race as many don’t have any previous hurdle form on track. This should stand to her and Jordan Gainford has been booked to ride.
In the mares handicap hurdle we have RETURN TO BASE and GINNETS GIRL. Ginnets Girl was a winner last time out of a maiden hurdle and now she heads for her handicap hurdle debut with Jordan Gainford in the saddle. We claim off Return to Base with Danny Gilligan who takes off 5lbs.
For the mares beginners chase we have TOWNHILL PENNY who is having her first start over fences. She was a point to point winner a few moons ago will have Jordan Gainford in the saddle.
Our final runner of the day is DAY’S A DAWNING in what looks a very open bumper. We will be claiming with Josh Williamson taking off 7lbs.
